Jesus intercedes for me.
Let that sink deep into your soul.
The Lion of Judah who sends chills down the enemy’s spine
When He roars a declaration of Kingship.
Not only does He see all
He knows all
He knows all of me.
I am not the smartest in the room.
I am not the among the most attractive or poetic or talented.
I may struggle to find my footing.
I may have such little faith that it’s terrifying to step out in it.
But Jesus intercedes for me.
He sees my weakness, yes.
He sees my tendencies and failures and my lack.
But more than even that, He sees me.
He sees my past.
He sees my tears.
He sees my trepidation and sleepless nights
And He prays for me
Jesus prays that my soul would be at rest.
Then He shows up and calms the anxious waves.
Jesus prays that I would know the Father’s love for me.
Then He turns my eyes toward cross and steadies my identity as “His.”
Jesus prays that I would feel His comfort.
Then He sends His Spirit to sing over my soul and collect my tears.
Jesus prays that I would know His joy.
Then He reminds me of His perpetual salvation.
The complete and wholistic way He has brought me out of darkness.
He saw me there.
Alone and wallowing in my own blood.
He saw it fit to not pass me by, but to cleanse me from my unrighteousness.
He nurtures me.
He clothes me in garments of praise.
He sets my feet firm in wide open spaces.
Jesus intercedes for me
He stands in the gap.
Not for anything that I have done to earn His compassion.
Indeed, I have stomped on it.
Spit on it.
Demanded that I never needed it.
And yet His face remains turned towards me.
Always towards me.
His wisdom always knows exactly how to pray for me so I am never lacking.
Because Jesus intercedes for me, and meets every need for me.
He fulfills what He heals.
He sees all.
He becomes all.
He interposes all.
Then He displays all of me for His glory.
He fills all lack til there is nothing but overflow.
Oh, how He loves me so.
I love you all!
